Annual Nativity Pageant 2024

Saint Catherine Academy celebrated the holiday season with its annual Christmas pageant, The Spirit of Christmas, on December 18th. The festive event welcomed more than 150 family members and friends who gathered to witness the students’ heartwarming performance.

This year’s script, written and directed by Sister Cheryl Driscoll, RSM, provided a role for everyone, ensuring that each student contributed to the beautiful retelling of the Christmas story. Supported by the Academy’s teachers and therapists, the students delivered a moving performance filled with joy and the spirit of Christmas.

“The pageant was all about sharing the story of the Nativity and the students truly embraced it with reverence and respect. They worked so hard and they should be incredibly proud of themselves,” said Sr. Cheryl, Academy teacher.

A highlight of the pageant was the students’ gifts to Baby Jesus, offered during the nativity scene. These gifts—happiness, kindness, artwork, music, friendship, and love—reflected the spirit of giving and the true meaning of Christmas.

Following the performance, attendees enjoyed a reception hosted by members of the CT Order of Malta, who helped bring the celebration to a close. Congratulations to the students, staff, and everyone involved in making this cherished tradition a memorable success. Saint Catherine Academy is proud to celebrate the season with an event that highlights our core values and the spirit of Christmas
